Charles “Bo” Simpson, a graduate of Morristown College, known on campus and throughout the years by students as Ms. Hazel’s son. Ms. Hazel was the former cafeteria manager at Morristown College. His father, the late Charles F. Simpson was also a graduate of Morristown College Normal High School. His three siblings are Charlotte J. Simpson Charles, Gaynell Simpson Scott, both of which are Morristown College NHS graduates and Virginia C. Smith.
Bo received an Associate of Arts degree from Morristown College and continued his education at East Tennessee State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education K-12. After college, he coached basketball a Morristown College and football a Gardner-Webb University located in Boiling Springs, North Carolina.
In 2000, Bo was ordained and elected pastor of Thorn Hill Baptist Church where he continues to pastor. After working for 17 years in, the sporting goods industry as a graphic designer, Bo started his own business. He adequately named his business venture Rev’s Trophies and Screen Printing located it in Morristown, TN. There he designs logos, transfers for screen printing, plaque engravings and build trophies. Bo’s motto is “Courteous and Professional Service”.

Mr. Nichols was a Black Educator in the Lakeway area for many years. He was instrumental in motivating and encouraging many children about the importance of obtaining an education.
The Reunion of the Ages James A. Nichols Scholarship is awarded annually. The amount of each scholarship is determined by the Reunion of the Ages Executive Board based on funds available. To be considered for a scholarship, the following is required of each applicant:
• A completed application form returned to the organization on or before March 31. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
• Applicant must have a GPA (grade point average) of a “C” or above.
• Applicant must (or will) be a high school graduate or have obtained their GED.
• Applicant must provide proof of acceptance to and enrollment in a university, college, or trade school.
• Applicant must provide information on community involvement.
• An essay (typed or printed) on why applicant is requesting financial assistance in pursuit of their educational goals must be included with the application.
Completed application and supporting documents must be returned before the application deadline to:

William Samuel Braziel was devoted to being involved in the Morristown community as a coach, former president of the Lakeway Area Football Association, Tee To Green Golf Association, and 1st president of the Reunion of the Ages. The William “Sam” Braziel scholarship amount is predetermined by the family.
To be considered for a scholarship, the following is required of each applicant:

A completed application form must be returned to the organization on or before May 31, 2016. Applications that are incomplete and received after May 31, 2016 will not be considered.

Applicant must have a GPA (grade point average) of a “C” (75-84) or above.

Applicant must be a high school senior.

Applicant must provide, with this application, a copy of high school transcript and diploma or a copy of high school transcript and GED, along with proof of acceptance to a university, college, or trade school.
